CLASS Swimmers DOMINATE at Trident Swim Club Winter Invitational!

 

Rowland Heights – Despite having the second smallest team at the Trident Winter Invite, CLASS swimmers dominated their respective heats and finals and to earn CLASS Aquatics a 5th Place finish in our first year participating in this awesome mid season meet.  CLASS consistently put together fantastic swims in Finals, often improving significantly from their morning swims!  Virtually every swimmer that participated for CLASS scored points!  

 

Jackie Ahn (11) dropped over 8 seconds in the 200 IM and was Top 3 in every event she swam, including wins in the the 100 Free, 100 Fly, and 200 IM.  

Angelina Babayan (15) dropped half of a second in the 200 Breast and had Top 10 finishes in all events she swam.  

Nicole Babayan (13) made her first ever Finals at this meet and dropped over a second in the 50 Free, breaking the :30 barrier for the first time!

Dylan Blietz (15) won the 1650 Free outright, dropped a tad on his 100 Free, and came back in Finals and crushed his 500 Free, with a 15 second drop from his Prelims swim. 

Lucas Blietz (15) dropped a tad in his 100 Free, dropped almost a full second in the 100 Fly, and dropped half of a second in his 500 Free.

Ava Buschmann (9) dropped 2.5 seconds in her 50 Back, dropped a couple tenths in her 50 Fly and broke the 3:00 barrier the very first time that she swam the 200 Free!

Erik Buschmann (10) placed Top 3 in almost every event he swam, including first place finishes in the 100 Fly and 100 IM.  

Scott Campbell (12) dropped over two seconds in his 200 IM and 200 Fly, respectively, while also dropping half of a second in the 400 IM and 100 Fly, respectively.  

Chloe Cheevers (15) not only placed Top 3 in every event she swam, but she made significant drops from Prelims to Finals in EVERY event as well. 

Ekaterina Fedorchak (11) dropped almost 2 seconds in the 100 Free and dropped half of a second in the 50 Free.  

Maxim Fedorchak (13) dropped almost half of a second in the 100 free and over half of a second in the 50 Free.  

Olivia Friedman (15) made finals in two of the three event that she swam, including a Top 8 finish in the 100 Fly.  

Oliver Hitch (15) dropped almost half of a second in the 100 Fly and made Top 8 two different times in the meet.  

Lucy Hoffmann (12) dropped over 5 seconds in the 200 IM and made Finals in five of the six events she swam.

Shailee Hoffmann (10) dropped over 2.5 seconds in the 100 Free, dropped almost a full second in both the 200 Free and 50 Free, respectively, while placing Top 5 in every event she swam.  

Alia Lau (11) dropped over 8 seconds in the 200 Back and dropped almost a full second to finally break the :30 barrier in the 50 Free for the first time ever!  

Andre Lokuszta (17) placed 1st in the 50 Free and 2nd in the 100 Fly, both swims in Finals improving upon the times he swam in Prelims.  

Ryan Lozano (20) dropped 3 seconds in the 200 IM and made Finals in four different events.

Josh McBride (15) dropped over 12.5 seconds in the 400 IM while also winning the event outright.  He also made Finals in everything he swam and proceeded to swim faster in Finals for every event he swam.  

Grace Nackers (12) dropped half of a second in the 200 IM, won the 11-12 1650 Free, and stayed on her best times throughout the weekend, no matter what she swam.  

Grady Nackers (10), despite splitting time between soccer and swimming this last weekend, still found a way to drop half a second in his 100 Back for a 3rd Place finish and placing Top 8 in each event he swam.  

Daniel Oroszlan (16) won both 100 and 200 Breast events while also making Finals in all 5 events he swam.  

Charlotte Sams (17) dropped almost 3.5 seconds in the 200 IM while making Finals and dropping time from Prelims in 5 of the 6 events she swam.  

Griffin Shakespeare (15) had himself a BREAKTHROUGH meet!  He has worked so hard for so long so it was awesome to watch!  He dropped over 2 seconds in his 100 Free, dropped over 7 seconds in the 100 Fly, dropped a full second in the 50 Free, dropped over 6 seconds in the 200 IM, and dropped almost a half second in his 100 Back!  Nice job Griff!  

Sophie Sullivan (11) swam the 200 Breast for the first time ever (and second because she made Finals!), dropped almost 1.5 seconds in the 200 IM, dropped a tad in her 50 Free, and dropped 2 seconds in the 200 Free.

Jennie Wang (13) had herself a BREAKTHROUGH meet as well!  She dropped 6 seconds in the 100 Free, dropped 7.5 seconds in the 200 Breast, and almost dropped a full second in the 50 Free.
