Congratulations to Amelia Feick and Catherine Sanchez who have been named to the United States Swimming Scholastic All-American Team. In order to qualify you have to be a high school aged swimmer, meet swimming time standards near the Junior National level, and have an elite High School GPA-both our girls had a 4.0 GPA. This is obviously a huge honor and only the very elite swimmers/students achieve this level. The list of Southern California swimmers who attained this honor can be seen on the SCS website.
For the 3rd straight year, the Covina Aquatics has placed in the top 4 at the Southern California Junior Olympics. In 2012, CAA placed 3rd in Team Combined at JO's in Mission Viejo; in 2013, CAA placed 4th in Team Combined at JO's in Conejo/Simi; and this summer in 2014, CAA placed 4th in Team Combined at JO's in Mission Viejo. In addition, the Covina Aquatics won the Metro Section Committee Championships (Short Course/Medium Team Division) both this past season of 2014 and in the prior season of 2013.
