SERVICE HOUR POLICY

Running a swim team is a lot of work. In order to keep training fees affordable for everybody we depend on volunteers to help out.  Service hours are awarded based on the type of service provided.  These hours can be completed by helping with opening and closing practice, assisting at swim meets, volunteering time to help organize or run team fundraising events, by serving on committees, or through assisting with other team functions.  Swimmers do NOT earn service hours.  When parents don't help it becomes the responsibility of the swimmers and coaches to pick up the jobs.

Every family/account has an obligation to help and are required to volunteer 5 service hours per quarter.  Billing periods are:

  • Aug 21 – Nov 31, outstanding hours invoiced on Dec. 1
  • Dec 1 – Feb 28/29, outstanding hours invoiced on March 1
  • Mar 1 – May 31, outstanding hours invoiced on June 1
  • Jun 1 – Aug 20, outstanding hours invoiced on Sep 1

Unfilled service obligations are billed at $50/hr.
