Chris Daly - Head Coach ([email protected])

Chris began coaching with Suburban Swim Club, the team he grew up swimming for under the tutelage of the legendary swim coach Charlie Kennedy. There he taught all age groups and abilities ranging from novice to Olympic Trial finalists. He also was the assistant swim coach at Swarthmore College for 3 years while continuing to coach at SSC.

After 8 years learning from one of the great coaches in U.S. Swimming, he got the opportunity to become the head coach of Sunnyvale Swim Club a member of Pacific Swimming, one of the strongest LSC's in the country.

There he coached some of the fastest age group swimmers in Pacific Swimming, all while growing the team in numbers and abilities. He coached there for 3 years, and saw multiple all-star team members as well as coaching a number of NAG top ten swimmers. He left Sunnyvale Swim Team, so his wife could pursue further education back on the east coast.

Once back on the east coast he took the head age group coaching position at YMCA of the North Shore Sharks, one of the largest YMCA programs in the country. Chris oversaw a multi- site program leading the age group program for one year before taking a small hiatus from coaching.

Chris recently was the lead coach at one of the premier swim clubs in Florida, Sarasota Tsunami Swim Team. Tsunami is a multi-site swim program run out of 3 pools. He lead the newest site, coaching swimmers age 7-18. In a short time frame the site has grown from 15 swimmers to 65 in less than 3 years.

He loves the sport of swimming for the teaching aspect but also the continued learning that occurs everyday. Chris is an ASCA Level 3 Certified Coach. When he's not coaching he enjoys working out, watching the Philadelphia Eagles, and loves spending time outdoors with his wife Courtney and dog Owen

Courtney Daly- Assistant Coach

Coach Daly grew up outside Philadelphia, PA, where she met her husband, Chris Daly. Although she played many sports including Field Hockey, Golf, and Lacrosse, she did not swim in her youth, learning the strokes later in life from Chris. Soon after, she began coaching in Sunnyvale, CA, and continued coaching in Florida. Many moves and years later, she still enjoys the competative nature of swimming, along with working with youth in creating positive and healthy choices.  She is a Math and Science Teacher, loves hiking, fishing, working out, walking her dog Owen, traveling, and watching a good Eagles game. She is super excited to see the Team excel, and be a part of the Aquajets family.

Jaelyn Cornwell- Assistant Coach

Jaelyn grew up in Chico and has been apart of the Aquajet swim family since she was four years old. She swam year round up until her junior year in high school when she was forced to stop due to a shoulder injury. Fortunately she was able to get a job as a swim coach to fulfill  her passion for swimming. Jaelyn started coaching the Mini-Jets when she was 13 years old and is now also coaching the White Group. Jaelyn is a first year college student at CSU, Chico and is working towards a degree in Exercise Physiology. In her free time, you can find Jaelyn outside near a pool or with friends and family.
