RMDA 12809  -  LKWD 11518 We Win! It was bound to happen.  We finally get the whole team to the Metro Championships and we win by a significant margin.  The Armada swam great for what seemed like a 10 day meet – it was actually only 3 very long days.  Every day of the meet we extended our lead over our friends and rivals from Lakewood. Also, we coaches would like to thank all of our great parents for the outstanding job you did taking care of the swimmers and...

It's amazing what some swimmers will do to win a gift.  Watch what Anthony Serrano did to win a gift in Don's "Minute to Win It" contests during Winter Break Workouts.  He has a pedometer on his head and every time he shakes his head, the pedometer counts it.  The swimmer with the highest number of shakes in 1 minute wins.  By the way, he lost.  Click here to view the video.

Congratulations! To all the Armada swimmers who took on the La Jolla Rough Water swim. For most of our swimmers it was a fun and exciting first time experience, with great times and placing amongst their age groups. What a surprise!  We walked in to workout at 6:00 AM on Monday to find a Fox News crew ready to shoot a short clip about the hot weather in So Cal over the weekend.  We were asked to be in the clip and of course the swimmers were very excited to be on live TV.  This link will bring up the footage.  Watch carefully when the commentator tells our swimmers to swim and notice the dive of the swimmer on the far left.  http://www.myfoxla.com/story/22731715/more-record-heat-possible-as-southland-sizzles   Last night part of...

The Armada Einsteins are an elite group of Armada swimmers that have achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA (straight A's) for any grading period.  If your school uses a system other than A B C grades, then whatever your best possible grade is would count as an A grade. Bring your report card to your coach and they will verify it.  You get the really cool shirt pictured to the right as a reward for your hard work.  Do great in school and join this elite group of scholar-athletes.

We are a Speedo® sponsored club and that means that our swimmers must compete in Speedo® suits and caps.  The suits with the Armada logos are on sale through the store at Splash or by order form at Palos Verdes or El Segundo.  If you need a cap for the meet, Don will have some for sale at the upcoming meets. If you would like to order Armada caps with the swimmer's name on them, you need to talk to Bev in the Splash office and place your order.  Do...
