The Lompoc Tsunami Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the Lompoc Tsunami Swim Team to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging and developing each individual swimmer to the best of THEIR abilities.

Pre-Comp/Novice: 5:00-6:00pm (2-3 times a week)

Swim Dues:  $55.00 per month  

Lanes 1-4: Swimmers work on overall technique in all four competitve strokes (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly). Focus will be placed on proper technique in preparation for competition. Key focus will be place on stroke drills in short distances. As the swimmer progresses in overall skill and speed they will be moved from Lane 1 all the way to Lane 4. Once a swimmer is able to swim each stroke with profeciency they will be evaluated for our Intermediate Group. 

Intermediate LVL 1 & Intermediate LVL 2: 6:00-7:30 (3-4 days a week)

Swim Dues: $65.00 per month

Lane 1-2: Swimmers will be hard at work getting further distance into 200 yards front crawl sets, learning how to use a pace clock & fine tuning flip turns. 100 yards of back crawl, working on proper flip turns. 50 yards breast stroke with proper execution of the stroke and turns with pull out. Introducing the most beautiful stroke of them all, butterfly. Working with basic fundamentals and stroke technique and completing a 25 yards fly with success. Swimmers will be able to complete a 50 yards swim in each of the 4 strokes (Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Front Crawl). Will be to complete a 100 yards Individual Medley where athletes will swim a 25 yards of each stroke, completing a 100 yards. Athletes will start the transcendence of swimming more yardage and not so much drill work, focusing on getting our endurance and a racing mindset. This age group she be attending a minimum of 2-3 swim meets a season.

Senior LVL 1 & Senior LVL 2: 6:00-7:30pm (4-5 days a week)

Swim Dues: $75.00 per month

Senior LVL 1 (Lane 3): Will be hard at working stacking yardage in their workouts. Fine-tuning stroke work, running fluently off the pace clock, having proper turns and dives mastered or working minor kinks. This age group should be attending 3-4 swim meets in each season with the goal and mindset of making Junior Olympics. These athletes should be attending regularly 3-4 days a week.

Senior LVL 2 (Lane 4): Also will be hard at work tallying up yards and making minor corrections to stroke work and technique. Athletes should be attending 4-5 days out of the week and making  ALL or as many as possible of swim meets in each season. 

Swim meets are all year round, cut up into two season: Long Course Meters and Short Course Yard. We travel up and down the coast to awesome pools and great swim meets. We go all the way north to San Luis Obispo and down to Camarillo/Oxnard area while touching all the cities in between.
