Marina and Paulins Shine on Day 2 of Take5 High Performance Meet

Paul Armstrong

Day two of the Take5 High Performance Event was an outstanding day for BAC!!

Starting things off was Angela Marina, who achieved a Tokyo Paralympic standard in the 200Free! After three near misses over the past week Angela was able to put together her best performance, swimming to a time of 2:16.26 , which put her .72 under the standard. Angela will have to wait until Friday, June 4th before Swimming Canada names the team, but today’s swim was a big step towards achieving her goal of representing Canada in Tokyo.

Angela is back in action tomorrow in 100 Back - competing at 2:47pm

Not to be out done, Sebastian Paulins had an amazing 400free. He entered the event in 5th place but swam his way to a 2nd place finish! Sebastian’s time of 3:56.43 smashed his previous lifetime best of 4:02.14 by 5.7sec.

Sebastian is back in action tomorrow in the 800 Free - competing at 6:22pm
