This past weekend the BAC Senior group attended the Star Invitational in Buffalo, New York. For all of the athletes it was their first time competing at a major meet in Short Course Yards. 14 members of the BAC Senior group are competing in Buffalo, New York this weekend at the Star Swimming Invitational. The meet is Short Course Yards and features the top swimmers from North Western New York, along with 3 Canadian teams. The competition is an exciting opportunity, allowing our athletes to race stiff competitors in an unfamiliar environment. The BAC hosted its first competitions of the season this past weekend. The BAC SC Invitational which was three sessions of time final racing for the AG, SD2, Flex and SR groups and the Jr Series #1 which was a session of racing for the SD1,CD2,CD1,Intro 2 and Intro 1 groups. Angela Marina swam to a 6th place finish in the 200Freestyle last night at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo. This is Angela’s first Paralympic Games and the 200 Freestyle was her first Paralympic Final! Angela’s time in the Final was 2:15.43 which was .6 faster than her preliminary swim. Her time was a season best and was only .3 off her Canadian record.
