As public pools have closed due to Covid-19, Swimming Natation Canada (SNC) has had multiple inquiries regarding open water swimming. Please be advised that SNC does not regulate, supervise, sanction or recommend training activities by individuals in an open water setting. Winter Festivals in Windsor was another great showcase meet for our Club, with strong results demonstrating our progress at the midway mark of the season. Excellent performance at the GTA Skins Meet in Markham by all our swimmers. It was final tune up meet for the upcoming Winter Ontario Championships in Etobicoke and Ontario Youth and Junior Championships in Markham. The Western Ontario Swim Association ("WOSA") Short Course swim meet got off to a fantastic start with Owen Beresh earning his first OYJ time in 1500 Free with a time of 17:58.74 and earning a Silver medal. This performance was followed by Ava Pasqualone who took 10.65 seconds from her 200 Free with great turns and awesome under waters! It was nice to see BAD swimmers in the water swimming fast at Mallards Winter LC Invitational. Not much rest was taken after Christmas Break Training and yet our athletes were able to race very well in Markham. Kenna Smallegange was part of Swim Ontario Tour Team traveling to Japan at the end of December 2019 This trip was combination of cultural exchange and participation in Sagamihara Invitational. Prior to the meet Canadian swimmers visited local high school for a half day. The Team practiced together with local swimmers in Sagamihara Green Pool up to the first day of competition. Ava Colyer, Hanna Ellis, Hannah Morgan and Kenna Smallegange represented our Club at Ontario Junior International. The meet was fast with very exciting races to observe in the finals. Junior Teams from Great Brittan and Japan brought their best once to TPASC this year, making this event even more special.
