At the Canadian Junior Championships in Calgary, the Burlington Aquatic Devilrays had strong performances from our five competing swimmers: Kenna Smallegange; Ella Jansen; Hannah Morgan; Isbell Marshall and Marica Smith.  Overall, despite the inevitable challenge of altitude (1,045 meters / 3,438 feet above sea level) in Calgary, everyone did extremely well and made the Club proud.

Key Highlights included
  • Kenna Smallegange (Age Group 15-17): Gold in 800, Silver in 1,500 and Bronze in 400 Free.
  • Ella Jansen (Age Group 13-14) Silver in 1,500 Free; 4th places in 400IM, 200IM, 5th in 400 Free, 7th in 100 Fly and “B” final in 100 and 200 Free.
  • Hannah Morgan (Age Group 12-14): 8th place in 50 Fee with the time of 27.57, just 0.28 seconds shy from 2020 Olympic Trials in April.
  • Isabell Marshal and Marica Smith raced very well, qualifying and representing BAD at the Canadian Junior Champs is an excellent achievement for both girls.
