2018/2019 Age Group Program

 

 Age Group Performance (AGP):  (12-16 Athletes) – FORMER AGE GROUP 1 (AG1)

9.5 Hours in the Pool / 30 Minutes of Dry-Land

This is a group designed for the top younger swimmers in the club and teenagers who aren’t yet at the Senior level.  Everyone must be willing to work towards achieving Regional and Festival times.  It is expected that these swimmers stay focused and complete any task set by the coach.  Every athlete must attend at least 7 swim meets, including a minimum of 4 out of town meets.  This group is the main stepping stone into the Senior program. All skills must be performed on a consistent basis.  This group will always have at least 2 lanes available for them, with opportunities for a third lane often.  Swimmers are encouraged to have an attendance percentage over 70% and should be attending at least one weekday morning practice, but preferably both.  All athletes must have their own kick board, pull buoy, fins, snorkel and paddles.   

Monday:

     -         4:15-6pm + 6:05-6:30pm (Dry-Land on Deck)

Tuesday:

-         5:20-7am

Wednesday:

-         4:45-6:30pm + 6:35-7pm (Dry-land on Deck)

Thursday:

-         5:20-7am

Friday:

-         4:15-6pm + 6:05-6:30pm (Dry-land on Deck)

Saturday:

-         7:50-10am

Entry Requirements:

  • 200 IM Sub 3:30
  • 400 Free Sub 6:00

 

 

 

Age Group Development (AGD):  (12-16 Athletes) – FORMER AGE GROUP 2 (AG2)

6 Hours in the Pool / *30 Minutes of Dry-Land

This is a group designed for swimmers who are keen and willing to work towards qualifying for Regionals.  The athletes will steadily improve on all aspects of every race. Basic skills will be performed regularly to prepare for meets and group advancement.  These athletes will vary in age but be roughly the same speed in the water.  Coaches will ensure there is a good mix of fun and work, so all athletes can both enjoy themselves and continuously drop time.  These swimmers are expected to attend at least 6 meets throughout the season, including a minimum of 3 out of town meets.  Two lanes will always be available for this group.  All athletes must have their own kick board, pull buoy and fins.

-         6-7pm + 5:30-6pm (Dry-Land on Deck)

Tuesday:

-         5:15-7pm

Wednesday:

-         6:15-8pm + 6-6:25pm (Dry-land on Deck)

Friday:

-         5:45-7pm

Saturday:

-         8:50-10am
