Novice swimmers from the Cambridge Aquajets (CAJ) competed in the HOBC Finale on May 25th at the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre in Oakville. Hosted by the Oakville Aquatic Club, the HOBC meet saw CAJ swimmers compete against swimmers from the Oakville, Hamilton and Brantford Aquatic Clubs. Congratulations to all the Cambridge Aquajets who participated in the "Row Taking up the Slack" meet, hosted by the Region of Waterloo Swim Club at the Wilfrid Laurier University Pool in Waterloo, May 11 and 12th. Recently the Cambridge Aquajets competed against 14 other competitive swim clubs at the Guelph Dash for Cash Swim Meet held at the University of Guelph pool. The meet was hosted by the Guelph Marlin Aquatic Swim Club. This meet gave swimmers the added encouragement to swim as fast as they could, with the incentive of possibility winning a cash prize for selected meet events. This past weekend the Markham Aquatic Club hosted their annual April Invitational Swim Meet at the Markham Pan Am Centre. The event brought together 28 other competitive swim clubs and saw a great mix of swimmers. Lauren Mage recently competed in 2019 Spring Ontario Swimming Championships at the Etobicoke Olympic in Etobicoke. The meet ran from February 28th to March 3rd. The Etobicoke Swim club hosted swimmers from 88 other competitive swim clubs. Mage earned a personal best and broke the CAJ record in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:25.68.

Recently the Cambridge Aquajets competed against 15 other competitive swim clubs at the GTA Skins Swim Meet (long course) held at the Markham Pan Am Pool. The meet was hosted by the Milton Marlins Swim Team. Thirty-four swimmers competed in this event. CAJ swimmers netted 24 medals. Leading the Aquajets in the gold medal count was swimmer Maya Troup who earned five gold medals.
