Open for New Members

Welcome to the Collingwood Clippers Swim Club! We are pleased to be using our Electronic Registration and Electronic Payment Processing System. The process is simple for both new and returning members. Please note that the only form of payment we accept is Credit Card.

Due to COVID-19, we have had to reassess and address the way we would normally function as a swim club. For the 2020-2021 swim season, we have worked extensively with Swim Ontario and Swim Canada to follow their guidelines for a safe return to sport. We have also been working with our home pool (Centennial Aquatic Centre) to ensure the safety of our swimmers and coaches.

To start this season, we will be using a phased approach to offering programing for different groups. This is due to the uncertainty that COVID-19 may bring and the initial limitations put on us by Swim Ontario and Swim Canada. We plan on offering programing for our Gold and Silver Groups during the initial start-up that include a maximum of 12 swimmers in the pool at a time and forming training bubbles. With each successful passing week, we will be able to reassess our operations and we will be able to add additional groups (Bronze, Purple & Junior Clippers) in a safe and practical manner with the approval of Swim Ontario and the Centennial Aquatic Centre. During this initial phase, we may not be able to provide full regular practice hours in the pool, but we will do our best to ensure those hours are provided to your swimmer through alternative forms (sport specific dry land and group learning) if need be.

We are asking families who would like to swim with the Collingwood Clippers Swim Club for the 2020-2021 swim season to register online as soon as possible as it is critical to know the exact number of swimmers per group to form a safe training schedule. Regular monthly fees will not be charged until CCSC is able to provide programming for said CCSC group.

In the 2020-2021 swim season we will be offering one Junior Clipper practice time. The time will be 5:00pm to 6:00pm on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's. The reason for combining is to better utilize our resources and to create a more social environment for our Junior Clipper swimmers.

In the 2020-2021 swim season we will be changing the time for the Purple Group to 3:45pm to 5:15pm M/W/F and 7:00am to 9:00am on Saturdays. The reason for changing the practice time is to better utilize our resources and to create a more social environment for swimmers to bond and create connections.

Each registered swimmer will receive one CCSC official swim cap and one CCSC official team t-shirt at the beginning of each season. Additional caps and t-shirts will be available for purchase.

Please make sure that you list ANY medical conditions your swimmer has under the Medical Notes section when you register your swimmer. This is private information that will stay within the swim club. It is extremely important to know your swimmer's conditions to help serve them better.

Click here to view the 2020-2021 Payment Schedule. Members will be charged Swim Canada Fees, Swim Ontario Fees and CCSC Wine Raffle Fundraising Fees at the time of registration. Following these fees, Members will be responsible for their Annual Dues (payable to CCSC on a monthly basis), Swim Meet fees, and Swim-A-Thon Fundraising Monies. All payments must be made using a Credit Card through your online account.

Each Member is expected to work a minimum of 10 Bond Hours during the season at approved CCSC events. These hours may range in capacity from assisting at Social Events to Officiating at a CCSC Swim Meet. Members who do not work a minimum of 10 hours will be charged a $300 Bond Fee at the end of the season. Please review the Team Manual for more detailed information.

Members with a swimmer participating in the June Invitational Swim Meet in 2021 are expected to work a minumum of 4 hours in support of the Swim Meet. Volunteer Sign-Ups are sent out in the weeks prior to the Meet. Please remember that this is our largest annual fundraiser and the proceeds from the Meet aid in keeping Annual Membership Dues low. Members who have a participating swimmer and do not work a minimum of 4 hours at the Meet will be charged full Meet Fees for their Swimmer's attendance ($60+). Please review the Team Manual for more detailed information.

CCSC's swim season is essentially split into two swimming blocks (October 1st - January 31st & February 1st - July 31st) to reflect short course (25m pool) and long course (50m pool) swimming. If families wish for their swimmer(s) to discontinue swimming with the Collingwood Clippers Swim Club, written notice must be submitted to the club Registrar & Treasurer prior to the end of the first block (October 1st - January 31st). Members are responsible for payments remaining within the applicable swimming block. Example: if your swimmer no longer wishes to swim past the month of January, you must give written notice within the month of January or prior. If your written notice is received after February 1st (into 2nd swimming block), you would then be responsible for the remaining payments until the end of the swim season.

If you recommend a swimmer to CCSC, once they have registered online and officially joined the Club, you will receive a credit of $50.00 on your account. You must contact CCSC's Head Coach, Shane Downey, in writing with who you recommended near the time of their registration. Please review the Team Manual for more detailed information on this exciting new Referral Program!

We look forward to having you join the Collingwood Clippers Swim Club and are excited for another great season!
