COBRA has four main sources of revenue:

  • Membership dues
  • Hosted swim meets
  • Bingo
  • Fundraising - there are two forms of fundraising:

Individual – where all/or a portion of the funds you raise are credited back to your own account.  These fund  raisers are optional.

Club – where all of the funds are put towards specific goals for the Club as a whole or a specific swim group. The goals are decided by the Board of Directors.

Hosted Swim Meets COBRA hosts 3-5 swim meets per year.  All families are required to work a minimum number of the sessions at every hosted meet.  Jobs vary from meet preparation, set up/tear down, officiating, food/concession coordination, concession staffing and food preparation.

Bingo – COBRA is one of the volunteer organizations who assist in running bingo sessions at Bingo Country at Main and Bovaird.  We work 52 bingos a year for which COBRA earns a percentage of the earnings for each session.   A family may choose to be trained and sign up in advance to be part of a team to work these bingo sessions.  You will earn $75 per session back to your family account.

Individual Fundraising – in the interest of being able to offer families the opportunity to raise funds to assist with the cost of the sport we offer a number of different fund raisers throughout the swim season.  Monies earned are credit back to your family account.  Currently we are offering :
