Killarney LC Invitational Results

Kevin Coulman

Patriots,

Congratulations, to all the swimmers who competed this weekend.  We always use this meet as a last chance to qualify for Provincial Trials and Provincial Champs but it is also the first time many swimmers are competing long course in a half year.

We had three new Champs qualifiers and one new Provincial Trials qualifier.

Congratulations to Cadence W, Skyla W & Jayden W on achieving their second Champs time and Eva M for achieving her first Provincial Trials time.  We still have a lot of swimmers very close to their respective standard and hopefully we can see some more improvement at Provincial Trials in two weeks.

This meet also gave people a good opportunity for final swims as we regularly had 40+ final swims a night.  It is hard to pick a few swims to acknowledge but I will try

Jade Boake - 100 Fly in 1:19.63.  Great progressioin in all swims but 100 Fly is always one of my favorites.
Emma Chin - 200 Back in 2:43.42.  She has resumed dropping time and look really good in all her backstrokes.
Lexi Gilmour - 200 Back in 2:49.91.  She had a lot of best times but this race was consistent throughout.
Juliana Marques - 100 Fly in 1:24.06.  She had a massive drop in this race but her skills have looked better in all swims.
Joshua Bagrowicz - 200 Back in 2:29.99.  He really stepped up in this final to cap off an amazing meet.
Logan Krauss - 100 Fly in 1:14.41.  Got to love the 100 Fly long course.
Aaron MacDonald - 400 Free in 5:56.32.  Pretty sure he got a 3 for 1 deal her.  A best time at 100, 200 and 400.
Joseph Sluyters - 200 Free in 2:17.33.  Great final swim to cap off a great meet.

We have TransMtn Festival next weekend and we look forward to some good swims there.
