SEASONAL AND OCCASIONAL FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES:

SWIM MEETS: 

The club runs two to three swim meets each year at Strathcona Gardens. To run a successful swim meet, we ask parents to assist in various jobs. All parents should be qualified as a Timer or Stroke and Turn Judge. These are easy but very important jobs needed by the club and they are a great way to watch our swimmers compete. The club raises funds not only by the entry fees for each of the events, but through sponsorship, 50/50 draws and program sales as well as other sales.

GROWING SMILES SPRING AND CHRISTMAS PLANT FUNDRAISER:

This is a huge fundraiser for our team. We run this fundraiser in the Winter so that we have delivery in time for the Christmas Holidays and again in the Spring just before Mother's Day. This is a very easy fundraiser to run as a Fundraising Campaign Manager - a job which will help earn your necessary VPS points. 

BOTTLE DRIVES AT ISLAND RETURN-IT:  

Occurring usually twice a year, the club arranges for a club-wide bottle drive. Club members volunteer in a number of roles including Bottle Drive Campaign Manager, Sort-Site Location Host, Drivers and Sorters. Parents volunteering in these roles will earn VPS points; all swimmers are expected to help collect and sort in support of the club and so do not earn VPS. 

PURDY'S CHOCOLATES: 

Purdy's Chocolates Fundraisers occur prior to the Christmas Holidays and Easter Holidays with sweet treats for everyone on your holiday shopping lists. Swimmers receive 25% of the profit earned toward's their fundraising commitment. These are very easy and well-organized Fundraisers to run; Campaign Managers for these fundraisers earn VPS points.
