Pugsley's pugnacious plunge proves particularly pleasant!

Cascade Swimming

20 January 2020 (Repsol Sports Centre, Calgary) - The Pugsley’s Plunge happened this past weekend at the Repsol Sports Centre and Cascade sure did everyone proud with their fine swimming.

Addison Butler broke the provincial record twice in the boys 14 years-old 100IM - ending up with a 59.67 prelims record & and a 59.47 record done at night in the finals.

No only that but we had two more Festival Qualifiers and two more Provincials Qualifiers out of the swimmers in attendance. JAG Blue, JAG Gold and Junior Championships were on fire with plenty of huge lifetime best times including, of course, our four brand new qualifiers:

Locke Cyr, FESTIVAL, dropped personal best and first time ever QT’s in the 100m backstroke, 1:28.67, and the 50m backstroke in 45.57. Kyra Nagy, FESTIVAL, also made it in the 100m backstroke in 1:46.21 and the 100m IM, 1:46.63.

Camille Guerra, PROVINCIALS, made it in the 50m freestyle after swimming a 32.67 and Jaxon Kwan, PROVINCIALS, also a brand new qualifier this time in the 200m breaststroke in 3:15.65.

Great swimming from evryone and more to come over the next couple of weeks including this weekend's Alberta Festival in Cochrane.
