We are pleased to offer the following 2021 Summer Programs:

Swim School 1-3 programs (Ages 4-8 years) will be offered at Canyon Meadows Pool (afternoon / evenings) with some limited options at Stanley Park Outdoor Pool (mornings). 
 
JOW will be offered at Stanley Park Outdoor Pool (mornings) and Canyon Meadows Pool (afternoon/evenings)
 
Stroke & Swim Fit Camps (Ages 8-12) will be offered at Stanley Park Outdoor Pool

We believe that the best way to be a safe, competent and strong swimmer is through a strong foundation in technical swimming skills and this is what we aim to teach your swimmer as a part of our summer camp programs.

Summer SWIM SCHOOL & Junior Olympic Way (Learn-To-Competitive-Swim)

The Cascade Summer SWIM SCHOOL Camps offer an introduction to the skills needed to be a competitive swimmer and are a part of the Club’s LTCS (Learn-To-Competitive-Swim) "Swim School" Program. The LTCS program is based on the continuous evaluation of various technical skills and your swimmers competency at those skills. The summer camp program offers both a swim session and a complimentary dryland (or gym) session where our swimmers will be participating in various activities appropriate to their stage of the Swimming Canada LTAD (Long Term Athlete Development) model: Active Start & Fundamentals.

 

Pleases refer to our Parent Assessment Tool here to confirm which of our Swim School / JOW programs your swimmer should register for. 

Swimmers must be between the ages of 4-8 years to participate in our Swim School program. 

Swimmers must have completed Swim School 3 (or equivalent) and be under the age of 9 years old to register in the Junior Olympic Way program.

Sessions will run daily, Monday through Thursday for 2 weeks (8 x 45 minute practices).

Swim Camps are LTCS (Learn-To-Competitive-Swim), emphasis on proper Stroke Technique.

Swimmers must be ages 8-12 with some previous competitive swimming experience. Swimmers will work on stroke drills and swimming sets to improve technique of all 4 competitive strokes. Starts and turns, and underwater/streamline techniques. Swimmers will do some fun races and time trials throughout the camp.

Recommended for our Olympic Way/JAG levels or equivalent - please contact the Cascade Office for more information.

 

Swim Fit! (formerly Stroke Improvement) is designed for swimmers between the ages of 8-12 years who have no previous competitive swimming experience. Swimmers must be proficient in front crawl and back crawl, and be able to swim 100 metres continuously.

Swim Fit emphasizes teh development of proper stroke technique, with coaching in all 4 competitive strokes. Swimmers will also gain experience with skills required to enter our competitive programs such as starts (dives), turns, and underwater / streamine techniques.

Summer Stroke Camp sessions will run daily, Monday through Thursday for 2 weeks (8 x 90 minute practices). 

Swim Fit! sessions will run daily, Monday through Thursday for 2 weeks (8 x 60 minute practices).

All equipment can be purchased in-person or online at Team Aquatic Supply

 

 

All fees are due (in full) upon registration. Payment is accepted via our secure online credit card processing system.
 

Cancellation & Refund Policy:  

Full refunds will be provided for registration cancellations up to 7 days before the first day of your program and less a $25 administration fee. Fees are non-refundable within 7 days of the first day of the session. 

Program change requests due to a change in Swim School level (ie: move ups, at the end of a summer session) are free of charge (1 change per session). Changes are subject to available space in the desired program level. You will have the option to move to a different time slot or session in the event that your desired program is full. You must contact the Cascade office by 12:00 PM on Friday following the last day of the session to request a change. 

Requests for mutiple registration changes will be subject to a $25 admininstration fee PER change. 

Swimming Canada (SNC) fees are assessed for your first registration and are non-refundable. 

A credit will be placed on your account for SNC fee refunds when you are registered in multiple sessions. Credits will be applied at the end of each session.
