Swim School & Junior Olympic Way
April 2021 Update:  Session and Registration information will be updated once we receive details from the Government of Alberta on the re-opening of children's sports & recreation activities. Please note - Swim School and JOW programs are not able to resume under the February 08 / April 06 children & youth sport program guidelines . For more information, please contact the  Cascade Office

Swim School is our entry level program into the exciting world of Competitive swimming. This program will focus on learning about competitive swimming and skills.

Swim School is offered in sessions, with Fall, Winter and Spring registrations.

Junior Olympic Way (JOW) is the next step in our Learn-To-Competitive Swim pathway. Here, swimmers continue to build on their technical skills and will also have the option to participate in small, local Fundamentals swim meets as an introduction to competition.

JOW is a full season program, running from September through June. Swimmers may also join the program in January or April, transitioning from our Swim School 3 program or upon Coach recommendation.

New swimmers must attend a Rookie Camp to be assessed by our coaching staff before registering for Swim School or Junior Olympic Way. Swimmers are placed and moved through the program based on skill level rather than age.

Spring 2021 Update: In-person Rookie Camps will not be held for the Spring session of Swim School / mid-season JOW entry. Please click here for our Parent Assessment Tool to determine which of our program levels your swimmer should enter.

For those interested in the Junior Olympic Way program, please view the video below to see the skills required to enter the program.

If you require further guidance in assessing your swimmer, please contact the Cascade Office or Coach Jacquie Pratt. We welcome video submissions demonstrating your swimmer's skill level, so our coaches can better help.
