When swimmers have the basics covered in freestyle and backstroke and are able to swim 25m of each, it is time to learn other techniques that will lead to a successful career in the competitive swimming.

It all starts with the precompetitive program where proper stroke mechanics are emphasized using progressions with focus on drills.

SWIM TO COMPETE LEVEL 1

Program pre-requisites:

  • 8 yrs old and under
  • Able to swim 25m Freestyle and 25m Backstroke

Once this level is completed, the swimmer will be assessed and selected to go to the Development program.

SWIM TO COMPETE LEVEL 2

Program pre-requisites:

  • 9 yrs old and under
  • Able to swim Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke

With both precompetitive levels completed swimmers are now fit and capable to perform all four strokes.
It is time to join the Novice competitive level.

If on the other hand swimmers choose not to purse the competitive swimming path they will still gain the proper attitude towards staying active and solid knowledge of the proper stroke technique.
