Gord Emmerson

Groups - Senior and National Groups, Age Group 2 & 3

Gord has been the head coach of the Ernestown Barracuda Swim Club for 30 plus years.

He is a Level II certified coach and is working on his Level III. His swimmers have excelled setting 11 Provincial Records, 1 Canadian Record and been members of 5 Ontario Tour Teams and 8 Canadian National Teams. Under his guidance, the club has grown from a small AAAA level club to an A level club and is now a thriving 98 member club.

Gord enjoys windsurfing in his limited spare time as well as doing home renovations.

Trish Hawkes

Groups - Senior, Age Group 2 & 3

Trish grew up swimming locally for both KBM and the Sharks.  She went on to swim for Laurentian University where she graduated with a B.A in psychology.  She holds an E.C.E. diploma and has been an Early Childhood Educator for over 7 years.  Trish owns and operates her own professional painting business.

Trish loves butterfly, it was and still is her favourite stroke.

In her spare time, Trish enjoys watching football and walking her dog C.J.

Andras Switzer

Groups -  

Andras grew up in the west end of Kingston. He is a proud former Barracuda and excited to be back with the team after a few years as the Head Coach of the Kingston Sharks. He holds a BSC(H) in Kinesiology from Queen's University in addition to being an NCCP Level 2 Trained Coach. During his time at Queen's, Andras focused his studies on athlete development and wrote his thesis on Initial Parental Enrollment Decision in Youth Sport.  Andras also works as the Aquatic Program Coordinator for Loyalist Township. 

In his spare time, Andras supports the Toronto Raptors and Montreal Canadiens. You may see him walking around Amherstview and Kingston with his husky, Jasper.
