Junior Barracudas

The Junior Barracudas Program offers children ages 7-12 an introduction to competitive swimming.

The program provides both instruction and technical work in the four competitive swimming strokes - backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle. To become a Junior Barracuda swimmers must have completed and passed the Red Cross Swim Kids 5 Program.

A fun meet is held for all junior swimmers at the end of each session.

Once the pool re-opens we will be restricted on the number of swimmers permitted in the pool and on the pool deck at any one time.  On Wednesday, September 8, 2021 between 5 and 7p.m. will run individual and group screenings at the W. J. Henderson Pool.  The screening will take approx. 20 - 25 minutes per swimmer/group.

Because of COVID, parents are not permitted on the pool deck during regular Barracuda practices, but for your child’s screening, one parent or guardian will be permitted to accompany your child.

After the screening, you will receive an email with registration information.
