Competitive 1 Squad

This squad aims to develop technical skills that are foundation of performance. Athletes will be exposed to training practices that will prepare them to start understanding the journey what is required to become a world class athlete.

Male                12 and under

  1. Performance consideration for membership squad
    • Compete at all Premier development competitions,
    • show improvement in racing technical ability and in training abilities,  
    • achieve a minimum of 4 A NB SC Standards

  1. Maintenance of membership

Swimmers must demonstrate improvement in technical abilities and performance in all 4 strokes and 400 IM to retain their place relative to their age group with each passing season. 

Each swimmer’s potential to progress to a Competitive and/or Performance level will be evaluated; a squad will be allocated to swimmers which complements their ability. 

Racing and Competition Calendar

  • the coaching staff selects competitions that will help develop the technical skills required to move to the next level in a racing environment
  • the competition calendar is designed so that the correct amount of training can be delivered in order that racing improvements are achieved. 
  • All members are expected to compete regularly. 

  1. Training attendance

Members are expected to attend All workouts prescribed by the coaching staff. 

Competitive 2 Squad

Competitive Development

Aims to develop technical skills that are foundation for competitive and performance development. Swimmers will learn how to execute the basic skills in training practices and start applying performance skills while competing in swim meets.

    • Compete at minimum 2 Premier development competitions, 
    • show improvement in racing technical ability,  
    • achieve a minimum of 3B NB SC Standards
