We will persevere - a note to swimmers

FAST Office

Hello Swimmers and Parents,
Many times, we talk about sport teaching us life lessons and the current situation in Canada and around the world with COVID_19 is certainly a lesson in overcoming disappointment as well as dealing with lost opportunities which would’ve allowed you to reach your dreams.
Many of you have worked incredibly hard, pouring your heart and soul into training and practices. Working with dedication to reach your goals and dreams of better performances. This is certainly a very trying time for all of us. However, this is nothing more than a difficult moment. You all have dealt with disappointment before whether it was missed time standard or disqualification after a great swim. You already know how to overcome that disappointment and how to push even harder than before. Together, we will overcome this set back and when we are allowed back in the water, we will come back even better, stronger and FAST-er.
For the time being, I challenge all swimmers to do at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day at home. We will post daily challenges on our Facebook so make sure to check it regularly.
We all have a part to play in this unprecedented situation and your sacrifice of a few practices will help the well-being of the entire community. Please keep in touch with one another via social media platforms and reach out to your coach if you have a hard time dealing with what is happening.
