Congratulations to our 3 swimmers who qualified and attended the fastest meet in the country

2019 Canadian Swimming Trials in Toronto from 3rd – 7th April, 2019.     

This meet featured the fastest swimmers in the country and also served as the nomination or selection trials for the

2019 FINA World Championships, 2019 FINA World Junior Championships, 2019 Pan American Games,

2019 Para Pan American Games, 2019 World Para Swimming Championships and the 2019 FISU Games.

Finlay, Justin L and Megan all qualified and competed at this meet and all had a successful week.

There were 4 Top 10 Finals and 2 Top 20 places; 7 Age Group Club records broken and 5 overall Club records broken.

Finlay swam to become NATIONAL CHAMPION in the 200 IM with tenths separating the Top 3, a very exciting and tail biting race.    If you want to check out the race and Finlay's interview, click on link below and scroll to 51 minutes and you will see it all.   Race, great commentary and interview.   An amazing celebratory moment from our small club in Okotoks.    


  Finlay was also selected to Team Canada for the 2019 FINA World Junior Championships in Budapest, Hungary in August.

Finlay Knox (18) 17 & over records in 100 Free, 50 Back, 200 Breast, 100 Fly and 200 IM.

Finlay, Justin and Megan had 1 day at home and school before they head to Edmonton today along with qualifier and team mate Lorenzo for the Western National Championships in Edmonton with competition starting tomorrow and running until Sunday 14th April.   Check out meet mobile for all their results.
