80x50s - 1 hard, 1 moderate. 

 

Some of you will recognize this set.  This can be a tough set for some, and emotionally challenging.  My recommendation on how to survive... don't make the moderate 50s too slow.  If you back down too much, you will not get much rest, and you will have to fight harder to get back up to your fast pace. It would be better to back down just enough to get your heart rate down a bit, allow yourself to catch your breath, and get some rest at the wall.  Your body will adjust to the pace you are swimming, and the hard 50s won't feel so rough. Trust your body... you are strong enough, and fit enough... you will survive and be successful.
