Catherine Minic travelled to Toronto for the Ontario Junior International to compete against the best under 18 year olds in Canada as part of her preparation for the Olympic Trials later this season. Catherine Minic and Jordan Greber joined up with team Canada who sent a contingent of 22 swimmers and six coaches to the Barbados Open Water festival, which featured a series of practices, clinics and classroom sessions. Canadian swimmers won all six titles at the Barbados Open Water Festival during the weekend, but the skills they learned will hold greater value long after their victories have been recorded. Amanda Frayn received the Official of the Year Award. Amanda is currently the only referee with the Grande Prairie Pirahnas. The award was presented by The Alberta Officials & Competition Committee Chair Jennifer Flowers at the Swim Alberta Awards Banquet 2019. Congratulations to Jordan Greber who has acheived selection to the Swim Canada National ID program for her performances during the summer. The Swimming Canada National Team Development Program focuses on the identification and development of talent for the purpose of progression to the Senior National Team and International podium success. Swim Alberta Discover Camp Report Congratulations to 8 swimmers from the Piranhas that have been selected to the Swim Alberta Discover Camps.
