HTAC is supported by a team of experienced, highly dedicated volunteer board members made up of numerous individuals with an association to the club such as parents and former swimmers.

Kathryn Hull
Kathryn is in her 3rd year on the board and she has had swimmers with the club for 8 years. Ryan is currently in National Development and Lauren in Junior Blue. Kathryn is currently employed as a Sr. Business Analyst with a consulting firm in Halifax. She works primarily on large public sector projects although she has previously worked in the oceans tech, utility and law enforcement sectors.
Pam O'Regan
Pam O'Regan is joining the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club Board of Directors for her third year. This will be her fifth year as a HTAC parent. She has 1 HTAC swimmer, Mary-Lou, who swims in Junior Blue. She is a Level 3 official and served as co-chair of officials for HTAC for 2 years. She is also involved in the summer swimming program as an official and a board member.
Past President - Valerie McBride
Valerie McBride is in her fourth year as a Board of Director. Her daughter Isobel swims with the National Development 2 group. After a career as an IT and management consultant, Valerie now leads Business Transformation at Grant Thornton.

Patrick has one daughter swimming with the Trojans for the past 6 years. Taryn is currently swimming with Senior Blue. He is a CPA/CA in good standing since 1992. His current position is President of Zu Business Solutions, a consulting company providing Financial Services to Investment Companies. He has previously held board positions with Shambhala School as Finance Chair and also spent time with the school as a volunteer Financial Director
Secretary - Heather Cumming [email protected]
Heather is in her second year on the Board as Secretary. She has three Trojan swimmers: Pippi in youth blue, Theo in Aspire 2, and Niamh in Skills. Heather swims as part of the Masters group as part of the conversation lane. She is a learning centre teacher and adjunct faculty member at MSVU. She has been part of the HTAC Family for four years. Member At Large/Chair of the Finance Committee - Craig Sutherland
Craig Sutherland has two swimmers on the Trojans swim club. One in the Senior Blue group and second in Youth Blue. This is his first year on the Trojans board but previously served as the President of the Bedford Beavers summer swim team for three years. Craig is the President of Atlantica which is a local Mechanical and Electrical contractor.
Member at Large / Parent Rep: Keitha Robert [email protected]
Keitha is in her first year as a member of the HTAC board. A lifelong competitive swimmer, she trains and competes with the Trojan Masters and has two Trojan swimmers – one in Senior Blue, the other in Youth Blue. After having devoted 15+ years to the agency world, Keitha started her own freelance copywriting and transcreation business in 2015. In 2019, she moved to Halifax from Montréal, where she continues to work with clients in both the public and private sectors.
Member at Large - Danny French
Danny French is in his first year as a member of the board. His daughter Greta is in Aspire I. He retired from a 14-year competitive swimming career in 2002 (including 5 years as a member of Dalhousie Varsity Swim Team). He continues to swim recreationally with the Trojan Masters. He is a thoracic surgeon at the QEII in Halifax and an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at Dalhousie University.
Member at Large - Shereen Badawy
This is Shereen’s fourth year as a HTAC parent and third year on the Board of Directors. Her son, Hasan Hosny, is in the National group. Shereen has over 20 years experience in the Banking sector and counting.
