Kingston Blue Marlins

The Kingston Blue Marlins Swim Team (KBM) is a not-for-profit organization coached by a dedicated group of professionals and is managed and supported by an enthusiastic group of parent volunteers. We have been in operation for over 40 years and our goal is to promote, develop, and strengthen the sport of competitive swimming in the Kingston area. We will provide a team structure that permits each swimmer to achieve excellence in all areas of their life.

While KBM swimmers have gone on to win Olympic medals, our goal is to help the swimmers see the benefits of swimming. Through competition we will let the swimmers develop a sense of commitment to training and to the team. For over forty years, the Kingston Blue Marlins Swim Team has offered a variety of high quality swim programs based on swimmers aspirations, abilities, physical and mental development. Our introductory non-competitive group swims twice a week and participates in a few in-house events. Beyond this level swimmers gradually increase their intensity and training volumes, competing on a more regular basis. Our top-level athletes train up to 11 times a week in order to qualify and prepare for national level competitions.

Our program has professional coaches, a commitment to provide low swimmer to lane ratios and frequent one on one instruction. Our full time Head Coach monitors all levels of the program ensuring continuity, coaching consistency and a great team atmosphere.
