KBM Swim-a-Thon

On behalf of the board and coaching staff we are excited to announce our Swim-A-Thon campaign for this year.

Our largest fundraiser of the season, your participation is needed. This is an opportunity for aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents and friends to support our swimmers. Swim a thon provides the Kingston Blue Marlins athletes with another opportunity to showcase their hard work, commitment and perseverance.  Our fundraising goal this year is $15,000.  The first $12,000 will go towards operations of the club to continue to provide high quality programming without significantly raising fees. Amounts raised above the $12,000 will be allocated ½ to operations and ½ to a scholarship fund for KBM graduates who continue to pursue swimming at Varsity Level.

Our club is fundraising using Swim Canada’s online fundraising program.  This allows us to raise money quickly and easily all from just a few clicks from our computers.

Signing up is easy:

  • Go to   www.ontarioswimathon.ca/kbm (link also available in the team feed on the main page of the club website.
  • The register button is on the top right
  • Create a Username and password and add your email address
  • Enter your First and Last name
  • Pick a group.  Multiple swimmer families pick the name and group of your eldest swimmer
  • Set up your fundraising goal & make a statement about your goal
  • Add a picture of you (optional)
  • Fill in Address and full name on family affidavit
  • Click agreed

You will then receive a profile link via email.

We realize not everyone is comfortable raising money on-line and have attached a form that can be used for possible door-to-door donations (with adult accompaniment please be safe) or to show relatives over the March break

We encourage the parents to go online and assist your swimmer with the registration. We are also starting the fundraising campaign right now and closing on March 31st which gives your swimmer two months.

This year Swimming Canada will not issue any receipts in any circumstance.  You may find out more information here: https://swimming.ca/en/resources/swimming-canada-overview/swim-a-thon-online/

Please show your support, help us provide the best resources, coaching and programs that we can by helping to raise these valuable dollars that will support our swimming program.
