Mini-Marlins (10 & under) Roster: Mini Marlins Mon/Wed or Mini Marlins Tues/Thur
September to late April: $872 plus governing body fee
Weekly Swim Training:
Mon & Wed or Tue and Thu 5:15-6:00pm at APAC
Description: This Mini-Marlin program is designed to introduce the skills required for all four competitive strokes. Open to swimmers able to complete 25m on their front with "side" breathing, 25m of backstroke, be able to kick continuously on a kickboard, and be assessed without their parent's involvement. Skills introduced will be presented in a fun and interactive learning environment with a focus on the enjoyment of swimming. Choose either the Tue/Thu class or Mon/Wed.

Weekly Swim Training
Mon and Wed 4:15-5:15 pm at APAC
Description: Designed for swimmers 9-11 years old with a desire to train twice a week. Swimmers should be able to swim 50m on their front with "side" breathing, 50m backstroke, be able to kick continuously on a kickboard, and be assessed without their parent's involvement. The emphasis will be on fun and fitness with an introduction to novice-level racing.

Weekly Swim Training
Tues and Thur 4:15-5:15 pm, Fri 4:30-5:30 pm at APAC
Description: Designed for swimmers starting later, or those looking to supplement other activities, swimming three times a week with the opportunity to compete at our home meets. Swimmers should be capable of swimming 200m in 4:00.

Junior Development (9-12) Roster: JD
September to early June $1796 plus governing body fee
Weekly Swim Training
All swims at Queens Mon 5-6:30 pm, Wed 4:00-5:00 pm, Friday 4-5:30 pm
Description: This program is designed for 13 & under athletes capable of swimming 100 free with flip turns faster than 2:15, backstroke with flip turns, 100m of breaststroke, and kick continuously for 150m. If coming through our MM program they will be able to do 25m of butterfly. The focus will be on fun, fitness, and stroke development with an introduction to local area racing.
Junior 10-13 Roster: J
September to early June: $2105 plus a monthly Y Membership plus governing body fee
Weekly Swim Training: All swims at YMCA Mon, Wed, Fri 3:45-5:00 pm and Sat 7:30-9 am
Description:Swimmers entering this group should be able to swim a 400 faster than 7:45 (10 yrs old) or 7:30 (11-12 yrs old.) The emphasis will be on continued competency over all 4 strokes with several racing opportunities both local and regional.
Junior Performance (11-14) Roster: JP
September to final competition (early July if racing in Halifax) : $2785 plus governing body fee
Weekly Swim Training: 5 swims a week all at Queens - see schedule for details
Description: Available to swimmers 11-14. To advance to this group 13 & under swimmers will have raced a 400 Free under 6:10 and 200 IM faster than 3:15. Swimmers are keen to race at local and away meets. Training volume will be increased for the swimmers who are expected to have solid technical skills over all 4 strokes as they work toward qualifying for championships competitions.
Senior Performance (15&over) Roster: SP
September to final competition (early July if racing in Halifax) : $2785 plus governing body fee
Weekly Swim Training: 5 swims a week all at Queens - see schedule for details
Description: Swimming 5 times a week with only 1 practice immediately after school. Set up to be ideal for multisport athletes. Swimmers can advance to this group when they can swim a 400 Free under 5:30 (Male) or 5:40 (Female) and 200 IM under 2:55 (Male) and 3:05 (Female)
High Performance (13 & over) Roster: HP
September to final competition (early July if racing in Halifax) : $3264 plus governing body fee
Weekly Swim Training:6-9 sessions a week depending on the swimmer and the training cycle.
Description: These athletes prioritize swimming and schedule other activities around swimming. In addition to being committed swimmers will have raced a 400 Free under 5:00 (male) or 5:10 (female) and a 200 IM under 2:40 male and 2:50 (female) They will enjoy increasingly tailored stroke and distance programming and have opportunities to train regularly with the faster Queen's swimmers. These swimmers are at the highest competitive levels with opportunities to race at regional, provincial and national levels.
