Run when you can,

walk when you have to,

 crawl if you must,

just never give up.

All Mini Squad Swimmers:

Parents of all mini squad swimmers please do not bring your swimmer out on deck until just before their session starts.  If your child wishes to swim before or after practice, you must pay the public swim fee at the front desk prior to entering the change room.  Thank you in advance for respecting these arrangements.

Upcoming Meets and Events:

Toys for Tots to Teens:  December 12th 7-9am Pen-High Common Area

The annual Toys for Tots to Teens is running this Thursday at Pen-High. Donations of new unwrapped toys for ages 0-18yrs will be accepted all day. Bring in your toy between 7-9am and you will receive a complimentary breakfast. It would be great to see KISU swimmers and families come out and support this great community event, wearing your KISU shirt, hoodie or jacket.

Kamloops Classic Championships:  Dec 13-15th

This is our first Championship meet of the year.  It is a BIG deal and a great test to see where things are at.  Swimmers need an A time to qualify based on the previous Swim BC A times.  We are changing the qualifying standard for our 12&U.  They will need to be sub4 and have competed in at least three regional meets.  There is an option of Team Travel (please sign up for Team Travel in addition).  This is our first BIG meet of the season with teams from outside of our region and province.  Heat and Finals, team travel (kids who are in grade 5 or younger need to be accompanied by a parent) - if your swimmer qualifies, you should plan to send them to this meet!  It's a GREAT experience and often a highlight of the season!

Location 910 McGill Rd.

Based on last year's meet information -

Warm Ups - Friday/Saturday and Sunday Preliminary Heats 7:30, Friday and Saturday finals 4pm, Sunday finals 3pm.

Cost - $8.50/event, plus the $4.50 Swim BC Splash fee and $5 facility fee, the club will cover relays.

Events - max of 8 events per swimmers.  Entry numbers may be limited for 200 stroke events.  Top 24 overall accepted for 800/1500, top 24 for 400 Free and 400 IM per age group.  All 10&U events are timed finals in the morning session.

Mini Meet: December 14thRegistration Deadline Dec 12th

While many of the older swimmers are away at the Kamloops meet KISU Mini Squad and Junior swimmers are invited to come out and swim at our second Mini Meet of the season! This is a great introduction to what it will be like at swim meets. Everyone will swim either 25m or 50m of each stroke and will earn a nice handful of ribbons.  At the end swimmers will get a delicious muffin, juice box and fruit.  Hope to see you all there

Cost: $5

Registration Deadline: Thursday December 12th

Parents!  Don't forget to sign up to volunteer as a timer or starter!

December 16th Time Trial:  3:30-5:30, Registration Deadline Dec 11th

This time trial is open to everyone who would attend practice on Monday, Juniors and Up (and even swimmers who would not normally attend on Mondays).  This time trial will run directly following the Kamloops Meets, so our swimmers can prepare for what a four-day championship meet will feel like.

All events will be offered.  Swimmers will likely be signed up for two events.

Cost if no volunteer - $10.  If family volunteer is there - FREE.

Volunteers will be need to run these trials.  Please sign up through the job sign up tab.
