KISU Albatross Mega Swim: November 26th 3:30-7:30

It’s that time of year again for our main club fundraiser of the season. Fundraising site will be live for members to customize for their swimmer on Wednesday Nov 3rd.

Proceeds from the fundraiser help us keep swimming affordable for all members as we aim to keep our membership fees as low as possible, as well as designating some funds to the KISU Angelfish program a financial assistance to families who would otherwise not be able to participate in the sport of swimming. This year with our increased pool expenses and no ability to host swim meets (a large source of revenue for the club) we are relying on KISU fundraising for the club.

Each swimmer in the club is encouraged to raise a minimum of $100 towards our goal. We ask that swimmers share our fundraiser with family, friends, and neighbours and this can all be done online. When logging into your fundraising account on the KISU website, you will be able to personalize your swimmer's profile and then send that personalized link out through email or social media.

Meeting ID: 879 8086 4205
Passcode: 521050

Please remember that this meeting is for ALL club members, mini squad parents through to academy. We encourage everyone to attend, as our attendance is recorded in our gaming grant reports and affects the decisions for how much grant money the club receives each year.

If you are planning on attending the AGM in person we will require proof of vaccination. Current PHO states the following: Indoor organized events can have a capacity of 50 people or 50% of a venue’s capacity (whichever is greater) with proof of full vaccination (two doses). This will allow us to maximize our attendance at the meeting and avoid having to limit entrance numbers.

As we have mentioned member attendance at the AGM is very important for gaming applications. Thank you all in advance.

This year we have several positions up for nomination:

Secretary - 1yr              3 members at large

Treasurer – 2yr

If you are interested in any of the positions email [email protected]

EVENT SIGN UP:

New to KISU? Below are a few tips on event sign up and volunteer commitment:

All of our meets, time trials, social events, volunteer commitment etc, require for you to sign up on the website.  Once you have logged into your account all upcoming events can be viewed from the home screen. To view the description of the event, click on the event title on the left side of the screen.  To commit your swimmer to the event, click on the pink ‘edit commitment’ tab. From there you will be able to declare one or all of your swimmers to either attend or decline the event.  This screen will also have additional instructions such as “please indicate the total number in your family to attend” for family events.  This can be done under a single swimmer.  To sign up as a volunteer for one of our meets click on the ‘job sign up’ tab under the event.  From there you will be able to see which jobs are available for which time slots. Pick you prefer slot and click ‘sign up’ at the bottom of the screen.
