Tina Hoeben Head Coach

This is Tina's 21st season with the KISU Swim Club (more than 35 years of coaching swimming). She has her NCCP Level 3 and in the past few years has done a LOT to improve her coaching experience and education.

Tina believes that swimming is a sport for everyone from the young to the not-so-young from the fitness interests to those with the highest goals.  When you sign your child up for swim club, you are giving them a gift that will last a life time.  There are many life lessons to be learnt through sport and competition which apply far beyond the water.  After a few years in swim club, swimmers can walk into any pool and feel confident about their ability in the water.

She also has her BSc in Physiology, BFA in Fine Arts - Visual Art and MFA in Visual Art. Tina has a wide variety of interests, which include outrigger paddling, cycling, hiking, skiing, yoga and more. This past summer, she went to Budapest to be a part of the World Junior team.

Theresa Zunich Age Group Coach

Theresa began her swimming during High School where she swam competitively.  Then when her sons became interested in competitive swimming, she started her coaching career.

She enjoys the competitive side of swimming and has been dedicated to the sport for 19 years. During this time she has completed her NCCP Level I, II and III.

Theresa coached with the Miramichi White Caps, Bathurst Blast Piranhas Swim Team and Kamloops Classic Swim Team.  She was one of Team New Brunswick’s Head Coaches at Canada Games in Regina.  She also coached Team Atlantic at the 2007 Tri-Team Training Camp and Competition in Halifax. Theresa was Head Coach for Zone 2 swimming at the BC Winter Games in Cranbrook in 2008 where the team placed 1st, and again as Head Coach for Zone 2 swimming at the BC Summer Games in Langley in 2010 where the team placed 2nd.

Several of her swimmers have earned spots on the Canada Games Team in 2001 and 2005.  Many swimmers have competed at Eastern and Western Nationals, East Coast Championships, Age Group Nationals, many provincial AA and AAA Championships and two of her swimmers qualified for the North American Challenge Cup in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.

This year Theresa will coach the Age Group swimmers and is looking forward to a successful season.

Theresa’s passion is to get swimmers excited about competitive swimming.

If you have trouble remembering her name you may call her “Coachtee”.
