KSC Posts Top Ranking Times in Canada

It has been a busy Fall for the Killarney Swim Club.  The team was in action over the last few weekends at the KSC Fall Splash, Canmore RIP Pentathlon, and the CASC Speed Meet.

The KSC Fall Splash was the first meet of the season.  Killarney had 206 swimmers take the splash at the Repsol hosted team event.  Over 480 best times were performed!  Fantastic start to the season!

The following weekend 28 swimmers took to the waters at Elevation Place, Canmore.  The Riptides hosted the Pentathlon.  Swimmers competed in all 5 events on Saturday (50 FR, 50 BR, 50 BK, 50 FL, 100IM).  The swimmer with the lowest added up time was the Pentathlon winner.   Bennett Strom was the Pentathlon winner for 13-year-old boys.  Charlie Trofimuk was the runner up in the 14-year-old boys’ category.   Swimmers competed in more events on Sunday.  Over the weekend, 120 best times were recorded.   Super Swimming!

This last weekend saw 34 swimmers compete at the CASC Speed Meet Provincial Series.  This was the first Heats and Finals competition of the year.  Killarney put on a show to say the least!  100 Best times were achieved.  3 Club Records were Broken. 15 Events Won. 39 Individual Medals. 

Event Winners: Paul Dardis, Matea Gigovic, Ethan Ngo, Matthew MacDonald, Kate MacLean, Alan Piatek, Calen Plana, Georgia Wise, Jaxon Wolff.

Medalists Not Previously Mentioned: Ranumi Eashwarage, Brandon Hachey, Lauren Porter, Maya Share, Charlie Trofimuk, Ethan Xie.

Club Records: Alan Piatek 14 & Under Boys 100 Fly, 200 Free Relay 17&U (Jaxon, Balazs, Brandon, Paul), 200 Medley Relay 17&U (Balazs, Brandon, Jaxon, Paul)

Several swims from the Speed Meet RANK number 1 in the country.  KSC also had many in the top 10.   Paul Dardis and Jaxon Wolff ranked in a tie for 50 FR.  Dardis is also Ranked #1's 100 FR for 15 year old boys.

It looks to be a promising season for Killarney swimmers!

The 11 & Under swimmers are back in action this weekend with a Dual Meet against the MAVS.
