Results for BC Summer Divisional Championships 2022

Langley & Abbotsford Olympians Swim Club

Over the weekend 12 Langley Olympians Swim Club swimmers attended the BC Summer Divisional Swim Meet.  Divisionals were held this Summer at the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre from Friday June 24th – 26th.  This meet hosted 330 swimmers who achieved their Divisional Standard Time from across the Fraser Valley and Vancouver Island.

Alyssa Beaulieu (12 Years, Women 12 & Under) Won a Silver medal in the 50m Breaststroke with a best time of 41.04.  She also placed fifth in the 100m Breaststroke with a best time of 1:28.18.

Samantha Burwell (15 Years, Women’s 15 & Over) Won a Silver medal in the 1500m Freestyle with a best time of 18:36.63.  She also placed seventh in the 400m Freestyle with a best time of 4:46.28.

Keith Vermeulen (18 Years, Men’s 15 & Over) Won a Bronze Medal in the 50m Backstroke with a best time of 29.09.  He also placed fifth in the 100m Backstroke with a best time of 1:02.87 and seventh in the 50m Butterfly with a best time of 27.86.

Kody Suen (15 Years, Women’s 15 & Over) placed sixth in the 400m Individual Medley with a time of 5:39.15 and seventh in the 200m Butterfly with a time of 2:39.44.

Kay Suen (15 Years, Women’s 15 & Over) placed fifth in the 400m Individual Medley with a time of 5:32.77.

Olivia Losacco (14 Years, Women’s 13 -14) Placed fifth in the 50m Backstroke with a best time of 33.34

Timofei Komarov (17 Years, Men’s 15 & Over) placed eighth in the 50m Butterfly with a best time of 28.21.

Gui Ernani Dwyer (13 Years, Men’s 13-14) Swam 100% best times in all events this weekend.

For most of these swimmers the 2022 BC Summer Divisional Swim Meet was the last swim meet of the 2021 – 2022 swim season.  It was great to see the Langley Olympians swimmer racing hard, reaching the podium and swimming many personal best time to finish the 2021 – 2022 swim season on a high note.
