The W.C. Blair Pool will be closed from February 24th – March 8th for maintenance. Swimmers who participate in Olympic Way and Stroke Improvement & Conditioning will have the option of attending a corresponding practice at the Walnut Grove Facility.

The Olympians Swim Club attended the PCS Christmas Cracker Swim Meet this weekend and broke 14 club records! Bailey Herbert (17 Years) broke club records in the Women's 15 - 17 & Open/Senior 50m Freestyle with a time of 26.55, the Women's 15 - 17 & Open/Senior 100m Freestyle with a time of 56.75, the Women's 15 - 17 200m Individual Medley with a time of 2:13.79 and in the Women's 15 - 17 400m Individual Medley with a time of 4:44.09. Starting in the New Year there will be some coaching changes being made at the Walnut Grove and WC Blair Pools. After December coach Martha will no longer be coaching with the Olympians Swim Club as she will begin training to become a Vancouver Police Officer. Langley Olympians Swim Club swimmers Josie Field and Hillary Metcalfe competed at the Canada West Championships in Lethbridge Alberta. They swam as part of the University of British Columbia and competed against some of the top University from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Congratulations to Joshua Kim who has accepted a swimming scholarship to the University of British Columbia for the fall 2020. Joshua will be joining fellow LOSC almuni Hillary Metcalfe who is in her forth year, and Josie Field who is her first year at UBC. Joshua will be joining a strong UBC team who had both the women & men teams win the Canada West Championships in Lethbridge this past weekend, and both women & men teams are defending USPORT Champions.
