Job: Lakeshore Swim Club: Club Administrator 
Reports to: Board chair
Hours: Permanent half-time
Salary: $16,000 - $18,000 per year. 

Lakeshore Swim Club is seeking a Club Administrator that will help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the club, beginning in the fall of 2019. LSC is based out of Gus Ryder Pool & Health Club in Etobicoke, though the position is primarily a work-from-home role, requiring only periodic visits to the club office, events, and meetings.

Lakeshore Swim Club is Canada's oldest competitive swim club, founded in 1930 by Canadian Sports Hall of Famer Gus Ryder.  LSC is a small, family-oriented club that operates with the dedicated commitment of parent/guardian volunteers. Our philosophy is to give swimmers the opportunity to be the best that they can be, realizing that each one has different goals and talents. We encourage our swimmers to develop as far as their efforts and abilities will take them, and do our best to accommodate a range of swimming abilities in an encouraging and supportive atmosphere. The club offers competitive and non-competitive swim programs for swimmers aged 7-19.

Required Qualifications: The required candidate will have excellent independent work habits,  excellent oral and written English communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, have strong computer, bookkeeping and customer service skills. An appropriate Vulnerable Sector Police Check is required.

Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office / Google G Suite, the TeamUnify swim club management platform, and understand Toronto’s various swimming pool booking systems. Administrative experience with sports teams is desirable. Involvement with any Ontario swim club must be disclosed. Parents of current LSC swimmers are not eligible. 

Duties will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Bookkeeping: recording deposits, reconciling account charges, etc.
  • Pool permit management: periodic booking, renewing & cancellation of permits
  • Customer service: responding to periodic telephone & email inquiries, liaise with coaches and families on club operations
  • Communication: periodic updates to website, bulletin board & signage
