Lachlan Brown Coach

Lachlan is a former national swimmer and has been an age group coach for several years with Carleton Place Water Dragons, and most recently, the Scarborough Swim Club. Lachlan has coached swimmers from 8-14 and recognizes the importance of a systemic organization that prioritizes skill development as well as a love for the sport. His passion for the sport of swimming is evident from the outset and his focus on providing swimmers with both the technical training and the purpose and goals of the training program will, I believe, provide our younger athletes with the tools they need to best be successful.

Sarah Chan Coach

Sarah brings over 23 years of swimming and coaching experience. She started from a young age swimming competitively for 10 years competing in the National level at ESWIM and NYAC. Her passion in the sport grew, which lead to her to begin coaching. She has 13 years of coaching experience - having to coach young athletes in various levels from Intro to Provincial. She enjoys teaching and having loads of fun. She loves learning new skills and going on adventures - her favourite hobby outside of coaching is: travelling the world and baking. This is Sarah's third year at Lakeshore Swim Club. She is definitely looking forward to another awesome new swim season at LSC!

Charlotte Reed Coach

My name is Charlotte Reed. I was born and raised in Nassau, The Bahamas and started swimming at the age of 3, I decided to get serious with my swimming career at the age of 6 and competed from then until the age of 16. Sadly I had to stop my swimming career because of a knee injury. I competed at a national levels and have been coaching since the age of 15 with another club in the GTA. I always felt at home on a pool deck, so the next step after my injury for me was to start coaching. I love connecting with the kids and being able to expand on my passion for the sport of swimming. I am dedicated to effectively teaching the kids along with having a fun pool/learning environment. I am so excited to start the swimming season with Lakeshore this year and get to know everyone and meet some kids and parents that have the same passion for the sport as I do!

Donna Ramsbottom-Reed Coach

Swimming has always been fun for me. I grew up on Georgian Bay and learnt to swim in the lake, doing lengths along the cement pier and we would swim to the middle marker and back. I have lived in the Bahamas for 20 years where I trained with the American Swim Coaches Association to be certified in  “learn to swim”, “mommy and me”, “intro to competitive” and “competitive”  swimming as an ASCA Level 2 Coach. My mentor coach was an Olympic athlete and  Olympic coach, Andy Knowles from Swift Swimming. With Swift I taught the Government School Kids grades 4-6 to swim and acted as site supervisor and trainer for learn to swim programmes, as well as, assisted coaching the swim team.

Since moving back to Canada, I have completed my Canadian training and am a qualified Agegroup Coach. Being a coach also requires me to have my NLS and CPR. I am also a certified yoga instructor 200HR Hatha Yoga amd have completed NCCP Fundamental Movement and Sport Nutrition.
