Michael Li continued his impressive run on the record books this past weekend at the Ontario Festival Championships in Windsor. Li who has been re-writing the 11-year-old boys Provincial Record books all season long added to his list of records by smashing the record in the 200 Backstroke. Li now owns every backstroke record in the Province except for the short course 100, both long course and short course for boys aged 11. Li also owns the LC 200 I.M. Li was also the most dominant 11-year-old in the meet, amassing 5 individual Golds and a Silver.

Li wasn’t the only MAC swimmer to find themselves on the top step of the podium, 13-year-old Grace Chai blasted her way to Gold in the 50 Free with a great time of 26.94. Chai’s time is also one of the fastest times in the Country for a 13-year-old girl, joining her teammate Jessica Sheng in the top 10 sprint girls in the Country for their ages, Jessica is currently 4th while Chai now sits in 7th. Chai added a Silver in the 100 Free with an amazing swim from lane 8, dropping an incredible 2.73 seconds to get under 1:00 for the first time in her career with a time of 58.87, good for 10th in the Country and the fastest MAC girl this season regardless of age.

Not to be outdone was 10-year-old YoYo Chun who reached the podium a total of 5 times including 2 golds 1, silver and 2 Bronze medals Chun now sits 2nd in the Country in the 10 year old girls 100 I.M, 7th in both the 50 and 100 Fly as well as the 200 I.M. and 10th in the 50 Back.
