Mallards Swim Team is a year-round competitive swim team that provides high quality swimming programs for the youth of our community as well as delivers world class training opportunities to those who choose to pursue a high performance path in swimming. The Mallards Swim Team is based in the City of Markham and uses 5 pools (Markham PAN AM Centre, Thornlea Pool, Milliken Mills, Centennial and Cornell Community Centre) to accommodate the 220 families that are registered with Swimming Canada. Mallards Swim Team has grown rapidly over its 5 year existence and we continually strive to maintain this growth and training of young swimmers to maintain a well-rounded competitive swim team. We host the Alex Baumann Invitational, Mallards Winter Long Course Invitational and the Mallards Long Course Challenge swim meets which typically accommodate over 4000 entries of competitive as well as novice swimmers annually. Our Achievements In our short history Mallards Swim Team has already sent 11 swimmers to Age Group Nationals
- 35 swimmers are Top 50 Swimmers in Canada in respective age groups
- 2 swimmers are Top 5 Swimmers in Canada
- Division 1- Top 20 Teams of Ontario
- Participation in Eastern Nationals, Age Group Nationals, Junior Provincials
- We are proud of our Senior Nationally qualified swimmers
Mallards Swim Team is organization whose goal is to be considered among the up and coming elite programs in Canada and to be a leader in swimming programs at all levels. To this end, we are very appreciative of the support of Markham residents and especially Markham City Council.
