2021 Summer Programming

To register for the updated Summer Registration click on the link.  You must be logged into your NYAC account to access any of the Summer Program Registration links.

This schedule allows as many swimmers as possible and levels to swim. Priority will be given to families who previously registered for summer swimming and then registration will open to the rest of the Club.  These programs are designed to get swimmers moving, work on technique, and have some fun with their teammates.

Waves

NYAC is pleased to announce programs at the Holland Bloorview pool for August 2021.  This pool is accessible and welcoming to a broad range of swimmers and the water temperature is generally higher than other pools.

What is it?

The NYAC Waves program is a developmental swim program that introduces swimmers to the sport of competitive swimming.   The goal of the program is to develop all four kicks: free, back, breast and fly.  The swimmers will also learn how to function as a part of a group with the added element of water.

Who is it for?

This program is for new swimmers between the ages of 6-10 years.  Your child must be able to swim across a 25-metre pool without stopping.  They do not have to have strong skills, but they need to be able to prove that they can be safe in the water, as during Covid-19 time, coaches cannot be the water with the swimmers..

Summer Training

What is it?

Coaching will focus on steady training with an emphasis on technical work, aerobic capacity and racing skills.

Who is it for?

Experienced competitive swimmers.  For NYAC swimmers that were registered in 2020 - 2021 in Senior A, B, C, Junior A, B or Development A, B, C
