New Screening Procedure (February 28th 2021)

  • Athletes will self-screen using the City of Oshawa online screening tool before entry to the facility and during normal business hours will show their check mark on their device to the City screener in the lobby of the facility. The online screening tool is available just outside the facility using a QR code, or by using this link https://www.oshawa.ca/screening/
  • For athletes who are on time, they will show the check mark to the coach and proceed to the pool deck in a socially distanced and orderly manner.  On time for workout is 15 to 10 minutes before the posted beginning of the workout.
  • If the athlete does not have a device or is not on time, their caregiver may accompany them to show their check mark to the volunteer screener.  The athlete, the caregiver and the volunteer screener will then enter the building together to show the check to the City screener in the lobby.  The volunteer screener will then accompany the athlete to the doors that lead onto the pool deck. The caregiver will then exit the building.  Swimmers will have until 10 minutes after the posted beginning of the afternoon workouts to enter the building.  After this time the volunteer screener will no longer be present.
  • In the case of AM workouts athletes must be on time and show their check mark to the coach upon entry.  Athletes who are late will not be allowed to enter as the front doors will be locked and staff will not leave the pool deck for them to gain entry.
