OLYMPIC WAY -  Swim Development Program

The Hamilton Aquatic Club invites you to see why our Olympic Way program is making a splash in the aquatics world! This learn to swim program is geared towards children aged 3-11*.   Children do not need to be able to swim independently.

Our coaches are in the water with your swimmer, with the goal of getting them swimming independently.  We utilize the most effective techniques in teaching children how to swim the four strokes. Children will receive updates on their progress each session. Level 1-3 groups will have 5 or less children per coach. Our Advanced groups will have up to 8 swimmers per coach.  If your child is currently unable to pass a “swim test” at your local recreation center they can benefit from this program.

Here is what you can expect from our sessions:

  • 10 Practices in each session
  • Progression and lesson plans for all levels
  • Report cards at the end of the session
  • Stroke correction and feedback to each swimmer during every practice

Olympic Way COVID-19 Updates:

Swimmer safety is our #1 priority. We are currently registering a maximum of 2 swimmers per lane for our Olympic Way Program.

Prior to starting our programming every swimmer will receive a COVID-19 Protocol package that will detail all considerations and protocols that we will need to adhere to.  This will include protocol for entry and exit of the facility, change room use, viewing and bathroom use.

In preparation to return to the pool, Swimming Canada has developed a National Return to Swimming Plan.  Please click on the link to find out more.

There are several changes to Program in order to comply with social distancing protocols and be able to provide the best and safest programming possible for our families, we have made some necessary structural changes to the traditional Olympic Way Programming. These changes are ongoing as the situation evolves and registrants will be updated prior to the start of our programming.
