Health and Safety

COVID-19

Swimmer safety is paramount to SCAR and we will always act in the best interests of our athletes, staff and volunteers.  We are monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic situation by consulting with our Board, Swim Ontario, Swimming Canada and Public Health Ontario.  We are in communication with TPASC, City of Toronto and TDSB for any updates with the COVID-19 situation.  As this situation has escalated very quickly, we are complying with any and all protocols from TPASC, City and TDSB that have been implemented.

Each parent/guardian and swimmer are required by Swim Ontario and Swimming Canada to complete forms related to COVID-19 at the beginning of the season.  Click here for more information

Rowan's Law

On July 1, 2019, Rowan’s Law provincial legislation came into effect. All sport organizations must require that athletes under 26 years of age as well as a parent/guardian (for athletes under 18) confirm that they have reviewed the concussion awareness resources provided by the Government of Ontario.  Each swimmer and at least one parent/guardian must review the information and submit your acknowledgement every season.

Each parent/guardian and swimmer are required by Swim Ontario and Swimming Canada to complete forms related to COVID-19 at the beginning of the season.  Click here for more information

Please note that your swimmer will not be registered with Swim Ontario or Swimming Canada until these forms have been completed. Swimmers will not be able to take part in practices, team activities or compete in any swim meets until the forms are submitted.
