PSW had over 40 swimmers from Junior and Sea Wolves groups compete this past Saturday at our 3rd PASS Meet of the season. We want to give a big shout out to all of our 1st time racers, it was great to see so many new faces competing. Congratulations to Emily Z, Asher J and Vivian W, our 3 swimmers who are now LMR qualified !! We also had 8 swimemers who can attempt 200 IM at the Next PASS meet because they went under 2:15 for their 100 IM....

This past weekend PSW had 40 swimmers from National & Western Development, Youth Provincial, Para, Youth Regional and Senior Competitive compete at the SKSC Winterfest meet! This past weekend we had 33 swimmers compete at the Chena 12&Under Meet. This meet was an absolute blast and great introduction for many of these swimmers competing at their first 2-day meet. Every swimmers took something good away from their races this weekend and we are all very proud that every swimmer represented PSW strongly! PSW is back into competition mode after our Holiday Break! This past Saturday 5 of our National Development athletes competed at UBC for a one-day long course meet to get their first long course racing opportunity of 2023. Congrtulations to Elden Wu for qualifying for Western Canadian Championships in the 17&Over category for 200 breaststroke These swimmers along with the rest of National Development and Western Development will be back racing this weekend at the SKSC Invitational. This past weekend PSW had a total of 36 athletes from Junior Provincial, Youth Provincial and Provincial Development compete at the Mies Schootman Invitational. A very big congratulations to Matthew Cao for breaking the 11-12 Boys National Record in the 200 IM! He went a speedy time of 2:15.94. The Junior Regional and Youth Regional groups had strong weekend performances and had 3 1st time LMR qualifiers competing (Lansen C, Emily W, and Sabrina S. The last weekend of November saw close to 30 PSW athletes from the Youth Development, Youth Regional and Senior Competitive groups compete at the Ridge Meadows LMR. Standouts from the YD group included Aanya S., Hermione W., Marina S. and Eva S. who went 5/6 personal bests over the weekend. The Junior Provincial swimmers attended the Delta Distance meet this past weekend. They all swam a 400 freestyle and blew away the coaches. There was a total of 10 swimmers, and for 8 of them it was their very first 400!! The most memorable races came from the following swimmers: Brandon H. used his legs throughout the entire race. Last weekend PSW sent a strong 50 swimmer team to Hyack Brad Reid Invitational in our first Heats/Finals meet of the season.
