Jy Lawrence Head Coach

With 14 years of coaching experience  Jy began her coaching career at the University of Calgary Swim Club in 2007 and coached for 4 years there while getting her degree in Kinesiology. She has been coaching here since 2011, marking this as her 11th year coaching with PSW. In the 2015/2016 and 2017/2018 seasons she was awarded Development Coach of the year by Swim BC. Jy is also a certified yoga instructor, personal trainer and Olympic Weightlifting coach. Prior to coaching, Jy swam for PSW throughout highschool and been involved with the club since 2002.

Ben Geary Assistant Head Coach

Ben joins PSW after coaching for the Haney Seahorses for the past 10 years. Since 2009 he has coached both year-round and some summer club, with the last 4 years as Head Coach of the Seahorses. In those 4 years he has coached multiple Western and Junior National level swimmers even while Haney’s pool was shutdown for 2 years. He is very excited to work with the PSW swimmers and coaches, and can’t wait to get back to competitions in the next year.

Darlene Przybylowski Regional Coach

Since 2007, Darlene has been involved with PSW, with 9 years as a competitive swimmer and now entering her 6th year as a coach for the club. Thrilled to be coaching the Junior and Youth Regional groups this year, she is prepared to help them achieve their swimming goals, and to mentor them into becoming competitive athletes. Growing up as a Sea Wolf, she aspires to bring them the same influence that PSW has given and impacted her.

Amy McGrail Development Coach

Amy has been involved in swimming for as long as she can remember. She began her coaching career in the BCSSA and spent 10 summers there. In 2007 she also began coaching year round with the Richmond Rapids. In 2009 Amy joined the WInskill Dolphins Coaching staff, where she coached for 8 seasons. She spent 3 years as the Assistant Head Coach, 2 years as the Head Developement coach and her final 2 seasons were as the Head Coach for the club.
In 2012 Amy was named Swim BC’s 11-12 Age Group Coach of the Year and has coached swimmers to numerous Provincial records. She has also had 2 swimmers break Canadian Age Group records and had a Para swimmer set multiple Canadian Records.
Amy has had the opportunity to coach in several Provincial teams, including being a member of the coaching staff at the 2013 Canada Summer Games. She has also coached and traveled on 4 Para National Team trips.
After a 4 year hiatus from the pool deck to get married and start a family Amy is beyond excited to be joining the PSW Coaching Staff for the 2021-2022 season. She looks forward to bringing her energy, knowledge, passion for and love of swimming to her groups and the club.

Laiken Greffard Junior Provincial + Masters Coach

This will be Laiken's fourth year coaching with PSW and her thirteenth year with the club. She is currently attending Douglas College studying Kinesiology. She swam with PSW since she was 5 years old and has made numerous memories with her teammates and coaches/mentors. She has had two of her swimmers break 14 club records this past season. She creates a safe and fun environment for all swimmers to feel comfortable in while helping them work towards their goals! Laiken is looking forward to coaching returning swimmers and meeting new ones this year! 

Delphine Wang Sea Wolves Coach

This is Delphine’s 10th year in competitive swimming and 7th with PSW. She swam at both Westerns and Junior Nationals and started coaching with PSW in the fall of 2019. Delphine is going into grade 11 at Semiahmoo Secondary as an International Baccalaureate student. She looks forward to helping each of her swimmers achieve their goals and is excited to work with both new and returning swimmers this upcoming season!

Alex Chernomorchenko Sea Wolves Coach

Although Alex has been swimming with PSW for 4 years, he has swam a total of 10 years. He is currently studying Criminology at Douglas college. Alex has competed at both the provincial and national level, but his overall goal is to get his trials cut. He is very excited to be joining the coaching staff this season in hopes of motivating and teaching new skills to both the new and returning swimmers. 

Brielle Woodruff Sea Puppies Coach

Brielle is beginning her third season with PSW this year, and her eighth as a competitive swimmer. She is a Grade 12 student at Guildford Park Secondary, and is delighted to be able to share her love for swimming as a Sea Puppies coach this season! 

Georgia Muir Swim&Dive and High School Fitness Coach

Georgia has twelve years of experience competitive swimming with WRASA and BCSSA five of which she was a senior leader. She started coaching guppies (6 & under) winter 2019 and continued summer 2020. She is also a lifeguard with the City of Surrey indoor pools and Tides Out outdoor pools. This will be her first year with the Pacific Sea Wolves and she am thrilled to be a part of the new swim and dive program. She cannot wait to make new and lasting memories as a part of the PSW coaching team!
