ROCS World Tour This past weekend, 45 ROCS swimmers competed at our first eastern Ontario regional championships since the winter of 2020. This meet brought together 17 different clubs for three days of racing at the Nepean Sportsplex. Our theme for the meet was the ROCS World Tour and our swimmers raced like rock stars, earning 112 new personal best times over the weekend. ROCS Swimmers Outpace the Storm at Early Bird Triathlon This past Saturday ROCS had 25 swimmers (plus 1 club owner) participate in Somersault’s Early Bird Triathlon. The event offered various race distances and disciplines. ROCS had swimmers participate in the Try-A-Tri, Sprint Triathlon, Long Triathlon and Long SwimCycle. ROCS Swimmers Shine at Festival of Spring This past weekend 66 ROCS swimmers took part in the Festival of Spring held at the Nepean Sportsplex. It was a great competition that included some members of our Academy Red group participating in their first ever competition with other clubs! Way to go Academy Red! The face paint and pom-poms were out in full force and our swimmers were doing a great job cheering on their teammates and supporting each other! ROCS at Speedo Easterns ROCS has four swimmers competing this weekend April 21-24th at the 2022 Speedo Eastern Championships in Pointe-Claire, Québec. This is a national level championship that includes the best swimmers from Atlantic Canada, Québec and Ontario. The 2022 Speedo Western Championships are taking place at the same time in Edmonton, Alberta. Senior White members, Ryan Ait mamar, Logan Milne, Olivier Risk and Jackson Waddell, are representing ROCS alongside Coach Nico. Last week three swimmers, Kathryn Ford, alongside brothers William and Olivier Risks competed for ROCS at the Canadian Swimming Trials in Victoria. ROCS at 2022 Trials ROCS has three swimmers competing this week April 5-10th at the 2022 Bell Canada Trials in Victoria, British Columbia. This year’s trials are being hosted at the Saanich Commonwealth Place pool. Current Senior White member, Olivier Risk, will be joined by his brother, William Risk, who is a first-year Viking swimming for the University of Victoria.
