ROCS Versus the Province at the Ontario Swimming Championships

Five swimmers from our Junior White, Senior Red, and Senior White groups will be heading to Etobicoke this weekend for the Ontario Swimming Championships. This is a provincial-level competition for 14 & over aged swimmers and is being hosted by the Etobicoke Swim Club at the Etobicoke Olympium from February 28th until March 3rd.

It will be a full house for Coach Nico and his crew as there are over 650 athletes attending the competition from over 85 clubs across the province. The psych sheets reveal that there will be races with the potential to reach the podium as well as many other opportunities for come-from-behind swims. Our swimmers will also have goals to achieve national standards for Speedo Easterns in April and Canadian Junior Championships in July which require long-course qualifying times.

Congratulations to Sawyer Bosley, Merin Boyd, Luca Haines, Jackson Waddell and William Risk for their qualification and good luck in competition this weekend!

You can keep track of our swimmers’ results this weekend in the following places, let's cheer for them loudly from Ottawa!
