Nicolas Bélisle Head Coach, Senior Performance Lead

For the past seven years Nico has led the Senior Performance group and he looks forward to working with this group once again in the 2017-18 season; it is always a fun and exciting challenge to try to bring out the best in swimmers and help them meet their goals. He is passionate about sharing both his knowledge and love of the sport to athletes, parents, other coaches, and really anyone who will take the time to listen! A former swimmer whose resume includes being one of the original ROCS swimmers and captain of the University of Toronto varsity team, Nico is a level 2 trained coach.

Amanda Macdonald Academy Red/Jr Performance Lead Coach

Coach Amanda is back at ROCS for her fourth season as the Junior Performance Coach. Amanda is an NCCP Level II trained coach with over 15 years of competitive swimming experience. Amanda has been a staff member on provincial teams and volunteered her time with Provincial Sport Organizations. She is working as a Registered Dietitian, helping athletes use food and nutrition to meet performance goals. Coach Amanda is passionate about teaching and believes that providing positive challenges in the training environment help her swimmers to grow as athletes and as people.

Kristine Deacon Comp Dev Co-Lead Coach

Kristine returns for her 4th season of coaching with the Junior Black Group.  Kristine has an extensive background in swimming, having swam and coached with the Cambridge Aquajets for 12 years, and as an intern in the sport community.  She had the unique opportunity of working with the Grenada Olympic Committee for one year, where she also coached with two swim clubs and taught young girls how to swim using the ocean instead of a pool!

Kristine is currently Manager, National Teams for Athletics Canada, and is "thrilled to be back with the Junior Black swimmers, having the opportunity to contribute to tomorrow's Provincial, National and Olympic swimmers."
